Inspired by Nature – Deirdre Dyson collaborates with Echlin
The latest turn-key residence by visionary design and development studio Echlin is Leverton House – located just moments from Kensington Palace and Gardens in Ossington Street, Notting Hill.
Set behind an attractive period façade this state of the art modern home is a nature-inspired sanctuary in the city.
The parkside location together with a light-filled internal courtyard featuring verdant living walls (a USP of all Echlin developments) floods the interior with light and formed the starting point for the interior design.
An integral part of the interior is a large hand knotted wool and silk version of CDQ member Deirdre Dyson’s FALLING LEAVES carpet.
Deirdre has said of the project:
I was approached by [our Chelsea neighbours] Echlin to design a carpet especially for their new project, Leverton House. Echlin’s concept was to bring the outside in.
The inspiration for this bespoke version of Falling Leaves came from standing under a Winter tree with branches bending downwards, above and around me…Echlin selected the colours to create airy lightness and to work perfectly with their nature-inspired concept.
Echlin has utilised British designed, natural and hand-crafted materials wherever possible in addition to the highest quality bespoke joinery and fittings throughout the property.
Other brands and designers featured include Tom O’Dell of Odells Studios, Hugh Miller Furniture Studio Haran, Johnston’s of Elgin, Bennett Silk and James Hare, Rachel Vosper and True Grace together with Walpole British Luxury members such as Richard Brendon, Ettinger and Nyetimber, and Brands of Tomorrow The New Craftsmen with artwork by London based Italian artist Gabriele Cappelli.
Leverton House is currently listed for sale with Knight Frank, further details here
