West One Bathrooms win International Design & Architecture Award

West One Bathrooms were recently the well deserved recipient of the Bathroom Award at the International Design & Architecture Awards hosted by Design et Al.

They won for the stunning bathroom that their design team created for a home in Sussex.  The en-suite bathroom is part of an extension added to the front of this Arts & Crafts house and is works to the brief to bring the house into the twenty-first century whilst also having a softer, feminine touch to provide the client with a sanctuary away from the rest of the house.

A clever use of textures was put to use by the West One Bathroom design team, incorporating a distressed plank effect floor and walls, a bespoke mix of mosaics for Trend in a Damask pattern and Corian.

To ensure that the calm atmosphere was maintained throughout the room the design team ensured that there were no glossy surfaces in the room – through a clever use of products such as the bath from Antoiolupi made from Cristalplant which has a soft chalky texture and a soft Corian double basin paired with the gently curving ‘O’ collection taps by THG.
