Top 5 Picks Round Up - Henriette von Stockhausen

We really enjoyed working with Henriette von Stockhausen on her Top 5 Picks.  You can read our interview with her here, and below is a round up of what she chose.

Guinevere –  French Chinoiserie Red & Gilt Lacquer 4 Fold Screen – probably Maison Jansen – c.1950.

“Guinevere is an Aladdin’s cave of wonderful antique, mid-century pieces and one-off creations that never disappoints.  I would literally do almost anything to own this fabulous antique red lacquer screen, such a beautiful piece! I will try and use it in one of my projects – as long as no one snaps it up before me!”

EDITORS NOTE:  Sorry Henriette, it has sold! But Guinevere have got a number of other beautiful screens for you to look at.

Waterworks – Empire 71″ x 34 1/2″ x 24″ Freestanding Rectangular Bathtub

“I adore this bath. My grandmother had an original one in her home in Vienna and it always reminds me of the time I spent with her as a child.  It was so large and deep, my head would not come up above the surface.  I still love them with a passion and try and use them in every bathroom I design that allows for a big freestanding piece. I also love their custom marble mosaics!”

Crucial Trading – Sisal, Divine in Sanstone

“We use natural fibre carpets a lot- they give a natural feel and a soft colour and are an ideal ground for antique rug layering which we always do. This one is my particular favourite as it goes with everything and warms up any room.”

Talisman – A pair of large Art Deco style Tarnished Brass Wall Lanterns

“Owner Ken has a very special eye for the extraordinary.  My current choice would be this exquisite pair of 1920s lanterns which I would mount on a large bathroom vanity top – preferably in my house….”

John Cullen Lighting – Square Highlight

“Mainly for their ability to do delicate and discreet lighting solutions for difficult listed buildings.  They provide lighting which is effective but unobtrusive – creating comfort and drama without obvious fittings.  All of their lighting is very useful but this one is my favourite.”

Thank you for taking part Henriette.  We think your choices reflect your style perfectly!
