The Rug Company Collaboration with Sebastian Herkner

The Rug Company continues its tradition of working with the brightest and best designers through their new collaboration with German designer, Sebastian Herkner. Best known as an award-winning product designer, Sebastian is celebrated for combining new technologies with traditional craftsmanship to design contemporary furniture and objects.

The collection includes two striking designs inspired by the connections, junctions, overlaps, transits and free spaces within a city.  Both designs are made of handknotted silk and Tibetan wool and use texture to create strong geometric patterns with Mainland Light comprising of dusky pink, cream and grey whilst Mainland Dark’s colours are a rich blue, cream and grey.

Both rugs will be available in various sizes from The Rug Company’s showrooms and online from February 2018.  Prices start from £2,210 (1.83cm x 1.22cm) or £990/m2.
