NEWS

Oh what a night!

The sun shone for the Chelsea Design Quarter’s summer street party as visitors revelled in the vibrant atmosphere at one of London’s best interior hubs. Bunting and balloons lined the street stalked by Beefeater stilt walkers and jazz bands as showrooms served summer canapés and drinks at this perfect summer soiree.

The afternoon kicked off with a press preview courtesy of The Rug Company enjoyed by House & Garden, Homes & Gardens, The World of Interiors, The English Home, Country & Town House, The Sunday Times, and a bevy of bloggers. Thanks to our speakers – the CDQ president Sarah Roberts, James Lentaigne, Sally Storey and Tom Faulkner who all waxed lyrical about this unique design destination and new website.

Showrooms decked out in red, white and blue to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday threw open their doors til late and welcomed guests. Highlights of the party this year included Drummonds who turbo charged the evening with a virtual F1 experience, there was bubbly on the terrace at Deirdre Dyson, a very royal purple showcase at Villaverde and the party just wouldn’t be the same without the highly entertaining photo-booth at Knots Rugs! Festivities continued at The Imperial – now here’s a hub that knows how to party!

Thank you to all those who joined us.

Until next year.
