And So To Bed, the designer bed and bedroom furniture specialists are excited to announce the launch of their new partnership with prestigious textile designer, Kit Miles at London Design Festival.

Join And So To Bed and the award winning designer Kit Miles from 3pm on Monday 19th September for drinks, where Kit will be unveiling one of And So To Bed’s stunning handcrafted beds covered in his exotic Diagonal Gradient fabric in Magentas.  Kit will also be giving a presentation on the wonder of design and creative individuality followed by an open forum for any questions or advice.

For And So To Bed this exciting new collaboration is the mark of their bespoke service, offering customers new possibilities and continuing to maintain the companies relationship with the Design Industry.

Campbell Thompson, Buying and Merchandising Director of And So To Bed says ‘We have been keen to work with Kit as we were taken by the variety of his work and strong use of colour.  His take on geometrics in the Diagonal Gradient fabric…is a great fit for And So To Bed as we feel it has a real element of art deco elegance and luxury, a message which is very true to our brand…his ethos for beautiful creations matches our passion for inspiring design that transfer common spaces to a place of dreams.’

Having trained in textile design at The Royal College of Art, Kit Miles formed his own studio which focuses on the importance of quality, draughtsmanship with a futuristic use of scale colour and imagery.  Through their wallpaper and textile designs his studio’s breadth and skill in executing fine product is continually developing, exploring and challenging  what print design is now and to come.  This year he was awarded the Designer of the Year award at the Homes & Gardens Designer Awards.

Kit’s inspiration of his iconic Diagonal Gradient fabric comes from his interest in the concept of exploration. ‘My inspiration for this textile is found on this concept of space and light speed travel, we were looking to insinuate to the viewer the feeling one could fly atop a galactic river of crystalline plains, shifting through space, exploring the universe.’

And So To Bed will also be launching a brand new range of beds and bedroom furniture
