Drummonds celebrate craftmanship at London Design Festival
Drummonds, the British luxury bathroom design company feature two different takes on the Chelsea Design Quarter theme ‘Elements’ for this year’s London Design Festival.
The first is a special visual and tactile experience which will showcase the different elements of Drummonds’ traditional manufacturing process. Drummonds’ classic bathroom designs are made unlike any others. This unique opportunity to see the labour-intensive process which goes in to their designs promises to be an eye opening experience. From the casting raw iron, dry frit enamelling and wax casting the experience will change the way you look at bathroom design.
There is also the opportunity to see for the very first time, every element of the bathroom design collaboration between Drummonds and leading designer Martin Brudnizki. Brudnizki is the go to designer for the top restaurants, members clubs and hotels around the world. From London to New York, Frankfurt to Mumbai, if you have stepped in to the latest trendy hotel or restaurant the chances are Brudnizki did the interiors. Drummonds has a long standing relationship with Brudnizki and his design studio, having worked on various projects together. The design collaboration combines an engineer’s sense of functionality with Martin’s appreciation of form to create aspirational pieces. New products on display will be the chic Derwent ceiling lights, the classic contemporary Leawood tap collection and the Wandle bath.
Step in to a bathing experience like no other in their flagship showroom, 642 Kings Road. The exhibitions will be on display throughout the festival, 16-24th September. The showroom is closed on Sundays.
