Chelsea Design Quarter are announced as a Design District for London Design Festival 2017

Chelsea Design Quarter are delighted to announce that they are once again a Design District for London Design Festival 2017.  This year members taking part are: Bagno Design London, Crucial Trading, Deirdre Dyson, Delcor, Drummonds, Guinevere, John Cullen Lighting, Loomah, Roca, The Rug Company, Talisman, Tom Faulkner and Waterworks.

London Design Festival celebrates it’s 15th year this year with an inspiring programme of events and installations across the city.  The UK has the largest design sector in Europe and the second largest in the world, which the festival celebrates.  The festival promotes London as the gateway to the international design community and the world’s leading stage for design innovation.

The Chelsea Design Quarter will be hosting a variety of events based around the theme of the Elements.  This diverse district will celebrate the way in which its partners connect and work with different Elements.  The events will showcase the latest in luxury interior design, stretching people’s imagination as to what can be done in interiors today.  There will be interactive installations, ground breaking exhibitions and talks celebrating the diverse industry that is the design world.

Highlights will include John Cullen Lighting demonstrating new technologies in both architectural and decorative lighting with an intriguing collaboration.  The fabulous Roca London Gallery, designed by the innovative Zaha Hadid Architects, will be putting on an exclusive exhibition for the Festival.  Talisman explore the design world of fashion, interior and art with their interactive installation while Loomah launch a brand new venture which has the feel good factor.

The luxury bath design company, Drummonds will showcase a visual/tactile experience of their traditional manufacturing processes.  Crucial Trading, will be displaying an exhibition of the natural fibres used to make their floor coverings.  Each fibre will be shown in their original, natural state and the exhibition will follow the journey through to the finished article.
