A Celebration of Indian Craftmanship

Dhurrie

Guinevere Antiques will host over London Design Festival an exclusive exhibition of rare and beautiful Dhurries.  Sourced from private collections and the Guinevere Antiques archives, the exhibition showcases designs from mid-19th Century through to mid-20th Century.  The family run team at Guinevere Antiques have traded in antiques textiles for over 50 years and this carefully curated exhibition celebrates the incredible skills of the weavers’.

Don’t miss the chance to marvel at the Dhurries on show, in which the weavers have used eye alone to design and traditional hand looms to produce these stunning Indian flat weave cotton rugs, which are so loved and treasured today.

In addition to the pop up exhibition, take some time to enjoy the treasure trove showroom of Guinevere Antiques.  Illustrating the company’s philosophy of mixing together different styles and era’s of furniture and objects, the showroom is an Aladdin’s cave of delights for antique and design enthusiasts alike.
