Charles Edwards launched his business selling antique lighting and furniture in 1992, at 582 King’s Road. When the renowned American interior designer, David Easton, asked Charles to replicate one of his lanterns it heralded the start of the design and manufacturing side of the business.
Today, Charles Edwards has an exclusive collection of over 400 designs inspired by 19th and 20th century English, French and American lighting fixtures – from Gothic to Mid-Century modern. With a focus on authenticity and quality, all designs are available in a wide range of hand finishes and any paint colour. Customization is also available on the size of fixtures, with some lanterns being more than 2m tall. Each piece is as unique as the interior it is destined for.
Alongside his expansive Lighting offerings Charles Edwards also has an exclusive collection of Door Furniture. Using traditional lost wax brass casting processes his designs capture the essence of traditional antique styles whilst simultaneously reflecting more contemporary design trends. The door furniture collection is on display in the Rumbold Road Showroom along with choice antique pieces.
Bespoke sizing is available on the whole catalogue, including chandeliers, pendants, hanging lanterns, wall lights and table and floor lamps.
Hand made to order in the finish of your choice, each fixture is as unique as the interior it is destined for. Finishes include bronzes, nickel, verdigris, classic black, or any paint colour.
